Dato’ Lukman Abu Bakar

He has channelled his abilities and strength in administration by serving the Government of Johor for almost 27 years. He started his career as a Public Relations Assistant Registrar at UTM Skudai in 1993 prior to joining Johor State Government Administration two years after that. He first embarked his career in the government sector by holding a position of Assistant Secretary (Administration & Protocol). Throughout his career, Dato’ Lukman has held several crucial roles such as Assistant Director (Privatisation), Johor State Economic Planning Unit (UPENJ), Secretary for Development and Chief Private Secretary to the Chief Minister of Johor, District Land Administrator of Kulaijaya and Deputy Director II (Macro & Privatisation) in Johor State Economic Planning Unit (BPENJ). Thus, his experience in this sector is wide and varied considering that he has held major positions prior to joining KPRJ. Furthermore, he was also appointed as the Chief Executive of Permodalan Darul Takzim (PDT) before making his way to KPRJ. His strength was significantly proven as PDT managed to grow 11.8 times better and worth more than RM 680 million as compared to only RM12 million eight years ago.
