On 18th October 2024, the Johor Golf Expo 2024 (JGE2024) officially opened with a Welcome Hi-Tea at the prestigious Senibong Golf Resort, Gelang Patah. Organized by Champion Golf and co-organized with KPRJ Sports Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of KPRJ, the event marked the start of the three-day event of JGE2024.
The event was graced by YB Tuan Mohd Hairi Bin Mad Shah, Johor State Executive Council and Chairman of Youth, Sports, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives, and Human Resources Committee, YBhg Tuan Haji Ahmad Nazir Bin Haji Mohd Nasir, District Officer of Johor Bahru, YB Dato’ Lukman Bin Abu Bakar, Chief Executive Officer of KPRJ, YBhg Encik Shahril Nizam Bin Abdul Rahim, Director of Tourism Johor; and YBhg En. Mohd Faiz Bin Mohd Silvano Stringhetta, Board of Director, KPRJ Sports Sdn. Bhd.
The Welcome Hi-Tea featured a speech by Matthew Murray, Managing Director of Champion Golf, and showcased various golf-related activities, including golf equipment and coaching demonstrations, an Ace Golf Simulator, Longest Drive & Nearest the Pin challenges, and a walkabout of the Golf Expo. In addition to the event, former Manchester United football legend Lee Sharpe made a special appearance, sharing his experiences with the sport and even playing a round of footgolf, adding an engaging and insightful perspective to the occasion.
The JGE2024 will run from 18 to 20 October, and we invite all golf enthusiasts and visitors to a weekend full of exciting exhibitions and activities.
